Early Years Provision
In Early Years, our curriculum is divided into 7 areas of learning. The learning is not only delivered in direct teaching but also if the provision which the children have free access to and where staff share quality interactions which develop children’s learning following children's own interests.
There are three prime areas of learning which underpin everything in Early Years and form the foundation of everything we do.
- Language and Communication
- Personal, Social and Emotional Development
- Physical Development
There are also four specific areas of learning which cover the knowledge and understanding that children develop across the Early Years phase.
- Literacy
- Mathematics
- Understanding of the World
- Expressive Arts and Design
On this page we will share a little more about each of these areas and give examples of the environment on which this learning takes place.
